I need a wired controller for my Wii for RETRO GAMES™, and the only other alternative besides a real Gamecube controller is this Chinese bootleg "classic controller for Gamecube". Has anyone actually used this and is it okay (it has no reviews on Amazon).
>>3459274
Why wired?
>>3459296
Input lag.
>>3459298
Jesus Christ.
I got one of these anon. It connects to everything and as far as I can tell I don't get any lag.
>>3459298
The amount of input lag for Wii Remotes is negligible.
>>3459339
What? You're saying wireless controllers don't have input lag? I bet you play your retro games on a 4K LCD.
>>3459343
Not Wii compatible, b-baka.
>>3459298
You won't notice any input lag with wireless.
>>3459489
Yes it does. I've used it on Wii and WiiU. I wouldn't lie to you senpai. Not everyone on 4chan is a troll.
>>3459508
How???
There's almost no input lag on the Classic Controller.
>>3459441
You're a fucking retard. The Wii Remote is perfectly viable for any game on the system.
>>3459440
Not every wireless controller is like the Wavebird, anon.
>>3459296
Because having a wii controller dangle in your lap is retarded.
>>3459531
Then sit the Wiimote on the floor. It's no different than having the cord from the console go between your legs.
>>3459518
Install extended firmware.

The classic controller is fine, but the Pro is much better.
Anyways, you may also seek for the RetroPad adapter.
>>3459298
there is ZERO input lag
>>3459561
ZR and ZL are a bit mushy, though
>>3459508
Wirelessly... through bluetooth. Did you not get the wired part.
Here OP. You can thank me later.
>>3459574
Oh sorry. Well like I said I use it all the time and I don't see any lag. And this is me playing MMx almost daily. Not sure what other options you have other then GameCube or one of those mayflash adapter things.
>>3459603
Oh yeah this one is good but only if you're looking to drop a lot of money for it.
>>3459603
>that stupid Gamecube-style button layout
into the trash it goes
>>3459629
>>3459603
Was this ever good for anything besides game boy games?
>>3459669
NES games
>>3459650
>No I'm someone who played competitively. You're an ignorant fool who can't into science or gaming.
Except most MKWii WRs are done with the Wiimote+Nunchuk or Wii Wheel. The only input lag here is your lame ass reaction times.
>>3459508
Holy shit, it's a classic controller that doesn't need life support?
I thought it was just a regular controller for nostalgiafags. Very interesting.
Are controllers forcellphonesretarded? I hate using the touchscreen.
>>3459698
No. They're way better than using the touchscreen.
>>3459704
Do you know any decent models worth checking out?
>>3459720
Not really. I don't play games on a phone.
>>3459729
Does it have a thingie to hold your smartphone? I mostly play games while commuting
>>3459769
Yes they sell it on there site. I think it's $10
>>3459840
I just checked it around and I must admit that I'm pretty damn interested now, I'll probably buy it tomorrow.
Any issues with the controller so far? Thanks a lot, anon-san
>>3459274
I have one. It's fine, but the slow/start/turbo buttons kind of stick. Might just have gotten a shitty one.
>>3459847
Had it for 2 weeks now and I use it everyday. Not only for retro but it's my steam controller also. So far so good. I'm planning to buy the SNES one a little later down the line.
>>3459685
>i seriously cant into science and I double down on my stupidity.
Damn. You stupid baby.
>>3459889
I'll take that as an acknowledgment of your defeat.
>>3459274
If you go emulation route on the Wii, use Retroarch and a Sixaxis (or any PC USB controller I guess) through the USB port
Bluetooth adds some lag. like a frame I'd say.
Don't ask me about the experiment I did to find out
>>3459960
There's a lot of factors that contribute to the amount of input lag bluetooth will have. Distance from the transmitter, interference or other bluetooth signals, weak batteries, etc. Under perfect settings, a Wii Remote should have less than 1ms of input lag.
This is the one I use and love it. I bought a copy of Goldeneye 007 from Big Lots just for the controller. ($15, I have no clue what it goes for now.)
>>3459987
>less than 1ms
doubt
>>3459274
If only this was based on the Pro model.
>>3459298
You're emulating on the Wii and you're worried about the input lag...?
>>3459542
He's too hardcore. The input lag will kill his world records
>>3459669
Snes games
>>3459889
What science? You won't notice input lag on the wii. Relax.
>>3461585
With that button layout? No way. There's a reason SNES games are awkward with a gamecube controller.
>>3461663
Because the dpad is utter shit, mostly.
>>3459296
Why NOT wired? Even if you're a sucker who doesn't believe in input lag, I don't know how anybody can just accept having to externally charge batteries, having to stay within the Wiimote's VERY limited range for the controller to work and having to have your controller plugged into a silly wand which has to maintain a line of sight with the sensor bar.
Playing the Wii is an amazingly awkward experience. Choosing not to allow a wired connection was a truly bizarre move.
>>3459603
i have one of those. it was the only way i could beat panel de pon.
>>3459274
gotta get an adapter that plugs into your gamecube ports I guess. Then you can use, I dunno, your SNES controller or something
>>3462518
>having to have your controller plugged into a silly wand which has to maintain a line of sight with the sensor bar.
Have you even used Classic controller? It uses bluetooth or whatever to connect to the system. It still has to be connected to the Wiimote, but you could shove that up your ass and you'd still be able to play. Also, you'd get more range than any controller cord would allow.
>>3462226
>can't refute argument
>resorts to childish name-calling
Stay classy.
>Even if you're a sucker who doesn't believe in input lag,
In a home environment under ideal conditions (close to the TV/monitor, batteries that aren't dead, no interfernce, etc.), the Wii Remote won't have enough input lag to actually affect performance.
You could make a case at tournaments since there may be interference, and you may not be able to sit as close to the Wii/Wii U as you'd like.
>>3462518
>has to maintain a line of sight with the sensor bar.
Actually most games don't use the sensor bar, or have the option of not using it..
>>3462792
>calls a dumb kid a fool
>dumb kid responds like a fool
Stay assmad
>>3462808
Not retro, but you're so wrong about games using the sensor bar. And there are games that don't but still require a wiimote.
Too young to remember how the Wii worked. What's next for /vr/? Heated debates about LOL skins?
>>3459274
use the real systems
>>3462518
>having to have your controller plugged into a silly wand which has to maintain a line of sight with the sensor bar
Were you playing with a cheap chinese wii remote or some shit
My Wii doesn't even have a sensor bar plugged in and it works fine
what a retarded thread
