I'm heading to Japan in a couple of weeks and am hoping to pick up one of these bad boys over there for a decent price.
I was hoping some of you could also recommend some cool Japanese games I could grab too that are possible to play without actually speaking Japanese. Obviously I'm keen to get Rhythm Tengoku and some of the Bit Generations games... I've heard of Starfy a lot too... but what are some others I should keep an eye out for?

>This board is for the discussion of classic, or "retro" games. Retro gaming means consoles, computer games, arcade games (including pinball) and any other forms of video games on platforms launched in 1999 and earlier. With the release of the 8th generation of consoles, the Sega Dreamcast will now be considered "retro", though the remainder of the sixth generation (Xbox, PS2, GameCube) will not.

It's hotly debated. Good luck OP, I got mine for $90 on ebay from a Filipino.
I recommend you ask on /v/ during US east coast night hours while the quality tide is in.

Never going to understand how something released less then 17 years ago isn't retro.

>Never going to understand why the Beatles aren't considered classical music even though they're over fifty years old.

Classical is a genre you retard

Maybe you should read the rules of the board, rather than acting like you define everything. Pompous twat.
