Render it 2 or 4 times larger and then scale it down with bilinear. Doom's sprites don't have aliased details since they're photographs of the real world, they just have aliased outlines.

>>3406775
>>3406776
It's better but you could go further. Try rendering 4x and scaling that down bilinear so the shadow on the bottom right of the neck smooths out more.

If you have Photoshop, make an action for taking the selected layer and using Layer -> Layer Mask -> From Transparency and then select the Mask and go to Image -> Adjustments -> Threshold so you can quickly get hard edges.

Also, turn on Ambient Occlusion set to Multiply and either a Hemi to light up the shadows a tiny tiny bit or use Environment Lighting set very low.
>>
It's useless as shit but God I want to make an environment texture of the original lazy susan room the models were shot in.

both of those were 4x size rendering and scaling down as you suggested. The shadow is just from the lighting.

>>3406785
That's weird, it looks smoother in Photoshop CC 2015 and doesn't have the few very black pixels on the shadow edge. Oh well, can draw over it. The lighting should be centred or nearly centred as well, right above the camera.

Check out the shadows on Doom's monster sprites, there's rarely big shadows. Everything is lit to some extent / nothing is black except for nooks and crannies, which ambient occlusion will make dark.
>>
>>3406795
*rarely big black shadows

And to elaborate, it's because they're all photographed on a reflective white surface so the light bounces up onto the models so there's light from the lamp by the camera and some light coming up from underneath it and a bit of light off the white wall behind it, except for some Archvile frames that were photographed without the wall behind it, presumably so the light from its magic fire attack looks more directional.
>>
>>3406795
Thanks for all the advice.

>>3406809
Many of them are good. Some are rubbish.

I liked most of the tech levels, but remember one or two map flow issues. But generally speaking, it was a highly enjoyable tribute to KDitD even though it doesn't quite gel with the other two episodes.

The city levels are all fairly immersive and are very technically impressive, but the "Downtown" remake drags on and bogs down the whole thing; map flow in Warzone isn't great either and the jumping in the last city level is incredibly ahit if you miss a jump. It's levels are hit or miss.

The Hell levels have amazing atmosphere and are all generally good, but what the fuck was Mark thinking with that fucking jump section at the end of House of Hell Nobles?! Fucking baffling design choice there, grade A retardation. Cathedral was also a bit forgettable, but the rest of the Hell levels are pretty strong showings.

He seems to like his platforming sequences. They feature in many of the maps.
>>
>>3406809
I quite liked the bosses. Would have liked to see more Belphegors in the wad. Guardian was OK for what he was. Cyberlord was a bit shock at first and then became tedious - easily the weakest gameplay of the bosses. Final boss was decent, more enjoyable than an Icon, but I felt a lot of attacks were pretty bullshit and it could do with a revalance(the AoE on the fireballs is insane, how the fuck do I dodge it without cheesing the fight at the bottom of the blood pool?). I did feel pretty badass after killing it though.
>>
>>3406809

It's rushed, and it shows.
It's overall quite mediocre, only notable for being a full 32-map ZDoom megawad that doesn't have custom monsters (outside the bosses) or weapons (outside the turrets).
>>
>>3406809
Mark's a better mapper than he is a coder.

Even then, meeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
>>
>>3406860
I only really remember getting frustrated with map 18 (and I didn't even miss a jump) and That Bit at the end of one of the hell levels (JFC Mark it kills all the flow what were you thinking). Was there jumping in the Downtown level? Fuck that level.

I don't mind a bit of low risk leaps from one ledge to another, but they were espiecally obnoxious in those levels.

A few months ago I started using the legacy captcha again because fuck the captcha with pictures. In the beginning it only asked me to type in street numbers, usually no more tan 4 digits in length. Nowadays it's asking me to write these long words in Italian and French.
>>
>>3407134

I've found usually you can type just a few letters from the word (and sometimes letters that aren't even in the word, like 'cock') and it'll accept it.

Like back when we had the two-word captchas and everyone would put 'nigger' for the nonsense one.
>>
Reposting my Doombuilder question:

You know how when you're left clicking on things, eg linedefs, and each new linedef you click is added to the "currently selected" group
is there a way to make it not do that? In most programs, you'd have to hold shift to add additional things to "currently selected" but Doombuilder wants to be different, and it slows things down
Or is this one of those things I'm just going to have to deal with
>>
Preferences -> Editing -> Options -> Additive selecting without holding shift
>>
>>3407186
if you want to select a large group, hold down shift and drag a box.

If you just want to move the currently selected points, right click on one of them, and you can drag them all around. right clicking will let you move shit without selecting or deselecting anything.

"c" is the deselect key too, I find myself constantly pressing it after everything I do out of habit, so I dont accidentally move things i dont want to
>>
>>3407118

Is there a character limit on custom sound files when it comes to SNDINFO?

It seems like a filename that's too long stops them from working
>>

yeah all lumps have a limit of 8 characters unless you're using PK3 instead of WAD and reference the full path to the sound in quotation marks like "sounds/superlongfilename.ogg"

you don't need the quotes in and info

How does that even happen? Windows 10 keeps reminding you about scheduled updates a few hours ahead of time and lets you reschedule them indefinitely.

City map for Doom64 is well underway.

I have lots of multi level buildings - all without using 3D floors (not possible in Doom64EX).
Its kind a magic when you know walking up the stairwell is building the upstairs area geometry and details, and copying the appropriate lighting and textures. Pretty easy to do with the macros, just takes a bit of time for each building.

I think that console FPS controls these days are ok generally (though I don't play all of them, I don't really touch any of the modern military shooters).

Like, there's bad ones (one of Duke Nukem Forever's many sins), but I felt that say, Far Cry 3 had pretty good controls (maneuvers and actions are easy to learn and function well), New Vegas has passable controls (the engine is what it is), but you can rebind shit however you want, which not all games allow these days.
Wolf 09' controlled pretty alright.

Doom Classic Complete, in my opinion, has better controls than most of the console ports from the 90's (though it has some other flaws).

>if it had a mouse for aiming and turning
Not for Metroid Prime, but these things exist for PC, PS3 and 360 (don't know if they've made them for new ones), you can have the analog stick for movement, then you pair with a compatible mouse (a special mouse would be used for the console ones, but for PC you can use any mouse you want).

I think analog movement is smoother and more precise than WASD keys, as well as more gradual (allowing for fine motion), but analog sticks for actual aiming is only passable at best, a mouse is always better.
>>
>>3408068
And it'll often circumvent shitty smoothing people put on the WASD movement. I tried a 360 controller and a mouse to play a projectile-heavy controller and I was dodging like mad because I no longer had a split-second start-up to every movement. I was kissing the bullets.
>>
>>3408059

Title is Brutalist, so yeah. It's basically a game of can I make 30-ish maps using reference images from places like FuckYeahBrutalism and ArchitectureOfDoom. Slap in some eccentric secret levels and music and it'll be done. Aiming for 100% compatibility with any weapon/monster mods people want so I can avoid project bloat.
>>
Let's have a moment of silence for those who don't know better and will buy Doom on steam because it's on sale
>>
>>3408071
Yeah, movement becomes incredibly smooth and efficient once you get used to it.

It's a shame only one company makes these one-handed analog things (to my knowledge), because I think the concept is 10/10, but the product execution is just 6/10, the shoulder buttons are poor, and the DPad is awful (really, one of the worst I've ever used, thank good I don't use it for movement).

But the analog stick is genuinely really good (one of the best thumbsticks I've ever used), and with it being wireless, as well as my mouse, I can really recline in a comfortable position.

Yeah, requested a ban there since I was wasting a ton of summer time on other sections. Got a lot of shit done and taught myself some neat shit like stock investments (and did really good until I was drinking with friends and made a shoddy investment), but now I'm in a one month grace period until next semester with fuckall to do.

Avalanche thing got scrapped due to a gzDoom 3D-Floor related bug or something of that nature. You get a visual hole eating the ground and unless you solve the problem, it just changes places around the map arbitrarily if you move anything else. I believe those were caused by stuck, overlapping vertexes or linedefs.

Avalanche was a scrapped part to another large-but-abandoned project where I finished about one map and one partial map. I was gonna have lava plumes and boss fights and all sorts of immense project bloat that was leading to absurdity, which about capped off on a conveyor belt moving a Mancubus around in a giant circle so I could simulate rain/wind via health bonuses. Eugh.

If you're curious I dropped a shitpost over on Doomworld to catalog all the stuff I did in once place, but you guys aren't missing much I guess. I'm a little proud of Juke Joint and Irritating Lindef, but they're not anything spectacular.
https://www.doomworld.com/vb/wads-mods/86099-various-old-projects/

Deaths aren't always instant and adrenaline is amazing. They could be bleeding internally while running away, they could be septic, there's a lot of ways to die while still being mobile on adrenaline.

There's a lot of variables at play when it comes to gunshots, like arteries, organs, bones, tendons, and if someone can get medical attention.

One gunshot to the leg can put a man in the ground, nine gunshots to his body and he gets on stage.

Supposed to be third map in the mapset, sorta easyish. It is still very wonky, as I kinda had to hurry ( gotta do bunch of business ), so I am leaving the test-version here.

I live and breathe critique. Report bugs and etc. ( there might be a slimetrail or two around ).

Note on the map; with exception of chainsaw and BFG, there are all weapons in the map. Just go look for them, if you try to go just linearly you will probably get your ass kicked / have to do it pretty carefully.

People have taken full loads of buckshot to the face and gotten up to shoot back after they thought they were dead, people have taken four tries with a shotgun to the face to kill themselves, that doesn't mean buckshot isn't good at killing.

Not everyone you shoot is gonna be fucking Michael Platt

>>3408331
Personal anecdote on that one.

Again, there's so many variables involved into the statement of "dropping from one 9mm to the chest" that it's a non-sequitur;
What ammunition is it?
How long is the barrel?
What's the distance?
What angle does it enter?
Who is getting shot?
What are they wearing?
Where in the chest are they getting shot?
Is it a surprise, or do they know it's gonna happen, do they have the opportunity to fight back and get adrenaline flowing or do they not?
Are they on drugs?
What's their health like?
>>
>>3408345
Yeah personal anecdote kill yourself faggot but don't use 9mm to do it because it won't get the job done.

>So far they have been able to open gateways between Phobos and Deimos, throwing a few gadgets into one and watching them come out the other. Recently however, the Gateways have grown dangerously unstable. Military "volunteers" entering them have either disappeared or been stricken with a strange form of insanity--babbling vulgarities, bludgeoning anything that breathes, and finally suffering an untimely death of full-body explosion. Matching heads with torsos to send home to the folks became a full-time job. Latest military reports state that the research is suffering a small set-back, but everything is under control.

UAC just chucked the technology into Hell through the portals and Hell abducted some volunteers. Also, Hell corrupted the Mars bases and also Earth so there's likely some sort of It's Just Magic Bro explanation as well.

CC4Tex wasn't included, but I keep it on hand.

Was a major case of "fuck this shit let them infight" until I stumbled on the SSG/RL. That was likely just my bad luck.

Only other nitpicks are super minor. The final (empty?) room before you exit with the [X] on the ground was kind of weird to walk into something so plain/fullbright-ish after the rest of the map.

And on the outdoor areas, these shadowcasts make the back wall totally black which somehow triggers me since they don't make sense unless there were lights on the floor. But I'm a detail autist. You could add micro-thin 1-unit-thick walls on the backwalls and use ALLBLACK since you have CC4Tex; but its' all way overkill so ignore all this.

Zandronum is pretty much the only good option for DOOM. Though if you want to play anything that isn't popular, you better learn how to use hosting services.
I hear EZQuake is good for Quake I, but I prefer FTE QW.
I'm not experienced with Quake II, but from what I hear KMQuake2 is the best option for multiplayer.
Quake III runs on modern systems without much problem, but I'd recommend getting ioquake3 or Spearmint.
No idea for Unreal Tournament, I haven't played any of those games.
EDuke32 doesn't support online play to my knowledge, so your best bet is to have bought the Megaton Edition before it was taken off sites and hope everyone you want to play with also bought it. And even then, I hear Megaton Edition is pretty crap for multiplayer. Oh well.

I guess he likes that it deals rather hefty amount of damage in short time.
While grenade gibs zombies and imps, it is rather ineffectual against some tougher monsters.
Burst takes down revenants in one go, which normally would require two SSG at least. Unupgraded that's more ammo efficient, plus it is sorta sidearm function, and quick to acquire - usually before you can even get weapons that can take revs down as quickly.

You're not bordering on heresy, you're helping detail the reason why Doom has absurd longevity and why vanilla monsters/weapons maps are super important.

Not only do they keep the game interesting, their balance interactions are really fun to play with. Take super easy old pre-2000-ish Megawads and mix them with Hideous Destructor. Take "circle strafing for 3 hours is fun, right?" slaughtermaps and mix them with Russian Overkill for plain dumb fun.

Just have to remove transparency with an appropriate matte colour, scale it up 400%, set the canvas to a square, run it through Prisma, move it out of Droid4x to Windows, scale it down 25%, cut the sprite out, save it.

The individual steps aren't so hard but damn my laptop is chugging and Prisma itself takes a hot minute.

People think that filters will give them clean water, but it's just another way for the government to put flouride in their water.

You're better off distilling, plus you can use it for moonshine as well. Don't forget to chuck the first shot glass of alcohol that comes out if you do, the first bit is going to be mostly methanol which is linked to headaches. If you don't, you won't get optic nerve damage because the cure for methanol poisoning is drinking alcohol until it's flushed from your system.

>add +DONTFALL to it so it stays put in the air when it dies, give it the +LOOKALLAROUND flag so you can't sneak up on it, give it +NOBLOCKMONST so that it can go through monster block lines, +DONTGIB so it doesn't leave a pool of blood if crushed somehow, +DONTSPLASH so it doesn't make splashes on terrain with that definition (for custom mapsets)
>give the projectile the A_Weave property on it's movement frames http://zdoom.org/wiki/A_Weave
>make a trail actor for the projectile which is transparent and dissipates in maybe 3 tics or so

Really mostly detail stuff.

>>3408334
yeah I know the doom fluff, but it doesn't really add up. demons tend to ignore advanced machinery and robotics, they just use magic and abominations instead. Basic machinery like ironworking and smithing is more the tech of the demonic; slaves hammering away on metal etc, demons chopping people to pieces with crude giant cleavers.

Looking at the D&D mythology gives you a pretty good idea of how demons work, its all magic and scrying and inter-dimensional teleportation spells. Robo-demons just seems odd.

Thats why I say the whole cyberdemon thing (arachnotrons, mancubi, etc) feels more like a UAC experiment to create some kind of super soldier they can control. I mean arachnotrons and mancubi dont even have any demonic elements - one's a massive brain with robotic legs and plasma guns (becuase demons always use plasma guns rigth?) and the other is a bloated fat giant man with rocket launchers (another thing demons dont really use....) They're both essentially all human creations. The UAC of course would cover this kind of thing up and no one would know what evil they were creating. The portals would give them access to demons and eventually they would manage to capture a single massive demon, creating the cyber demon - who uses rockets and has a computer controlled brain.

This is just my feelings on the monsters, obviously doom creators didn't think too much about it, what with mancubi usually appearing in the first hell theme episode etc. but when you look at the technology involved, the mancubi, arachnotron and cyber demon seem like human creations, compared to the more traditional hellish enemies like imps, hell-knights, cacodemons, pinkies and barons of hell. None of those have any electronic parts and all use a more magic-esque type of projectile.

The difference between None and None (Nearest Mipmap) is that one of them uses mipmapping, which scales down farther away textures. None (Nearest Mipmap) looks a lot smoother for farhter away textures compared to None's noisy distant textures.

I use None (Linear Mipmap) but it's hardly different from None (Nearest Mipmap)

>>3409989
Never heard of it until now. I really don't like that on the "Pricing & Licensing" page it lists "It's free" as the only feature of the free version, and the next one with the price tag of $136 each year has nondescript "Basic Features" in its feature list, implying the "It's free" feature doesn't include "Basic Features".

It sounds really scummy, Droid4x never tried to squeeze me for cash just to run Linux in a VM.

The thing with Genymotion, as far as I've read, is that it is mainly a tool for developers, and the priced versions add more features that are primarily aimed at developers. The free just plays android applications but has no dev features.
I haven't used it, but it is what I've read from the gametechwiki, and it is the most reccomended one there.
>>
>>3410021
I get the suspicious feeling that transferring files between your PC and Android will be considered a dev feature.

At the very least I can vouch for Droid4x working and not giving me any problem with transferring files to and from my PC and it never asked me to install a featured app or give me advertisements.

Maybe your graphics card doesn't support some features of OpenGL 4.0 and is emulating them via CPU? I'm not sure if that's actually how it happens but that's about how forcing a DX11 game to run in DX9 was explained to work to me and it seems like it could be similar.

>>

This could be. The opengl implementation in Linux Mint is 3.0, so maybe the driver emulates the rest of the implementation.

I'd try with 1.9.1. But:
-i couldn't find any .deb file
-i can't compile it because g++ complains about ambiguous notation. At least for the latest release.

I'll try

The architecture is great but I'm not digging that brick texture at all. Would you consider using a brighter/more grayish version of that texture if there is one?

Hope this is the right place for help here, cos I'm going mad trying to make this work.

I've set up a server on Doomseeker so that I can play Brutal Doom Co-op with a friend of mine. We've got all that working and it's fine, but.....

....what we really want to do is play in realism mode. Doomseeker doesn't have the options to change it (because it's set up for standard doom) and setting the command line doesn't seem to work either. I used "-skill 8" but it doesn't work.

Can anyone please shed some light on how to get realism co-op working on brutal doom mod, preferably through Doomseeker? I've been trying for hours and it's driving me nuts.

Y'all really overreact about that. He's not selling a Doom mod or anything.

I don't see what's wrong with accepting money from people, or why it's okay to have a patreon for just drawing porn or something, but it's not okay to have a patreon for various mods that, despite their level of quality, do require a lot of time and content.

The difference between drawing porn and making Brutal Doom is it's a basic human right to have access to pornography for the sake of masturbation and we have examples of it dating back to when people first figuredo ut how to paint naked asses on cave walls, whereas Brutal Doom boasts nothing unique and if anything has driven a further schism into the Doom community. Oh and he's a fucking Brazilian so he doesn't deserve money anyway.
>>
>>3410662
Why is it wrong? You can still get it for free.

The whole issue with paid mods was it was common for mods to rely on other mods, and once one is behind a paywall they all are, and people were explicitly selling other people's work.

That's not happening here.

>>3410670
Speaking from a human rights perspective I would say that being Brazilian gives him a free pass.

It's wrong because it's the equivalent of equivelant of pan-handling, except worse because he's doing it by springboarding off the backs of various content creators.

Very very little of Brutal Doom's content is his own work, most of it is edits or sprites made for him. I guess his code work is his own, but as I said it's pretty fucking easy to do that with SLADE.

He's asking for free handouts for doing hardly any real effort.

I don't even make art for the internet, but if I ever do, I'd be horribly conflicted between whether I should do smut or not. On one hand, it is very profitable, and I have no qualms with drawing even the most fucked up fetish because I'm desensitized like that. On the other hand, when a guy does porn, those always becomes his most famous works, because people just love masturbating. I'd be know as "that guy who draws porn", and I don't want that. Also, shit you post on the internet can always be traced back to you, no matter how hard you try to hide it, so there's always that slim chance of someone IRL knowing about my online smut.

Generally so long as you make good reason as to why you're keeping a divide between the two should you be "found out," even if you have a distinct art-style (Think Shwig and his smut name, S-Purple) most people will try and look the other way. but you do actually have to make an effort to keep the two separate and in most cases very private.

Lately I've been really wanting to draw some smut, but worries like these are keeping me away. I have no desire to get into art industry, so that's one less worry, but being found out IRL kinda terrifies me. My friends are all too internet-savvy. They also know very well how I draw, and what I draw often.
It would certainly be uncomfortable if the friend that asked me to draw a portrait of his cat finds out I've been drawing lewd semi-feral catgirls online.
Also I only do traditional, so It'd be even easier to confirm.

>why it's okay to have a patreon for just drawing porn or something, but it's not okay to have a patreon for various mods that, despite their level of quality, do require a lot of time and content.

Here's the thing.
When it comes to porn, you're the one making the porn. Either you're drawing it, you're animating it, or whatever, either way it's your own original creation.
Brutal Doom is not an original creation. It's not an original concept, it doesn't have original code, it doesn't have original graphics made by Sgt. Mark IV (most were done by other people), it uses a whole ton of assets from other people with varying levels of acknowledgement, and Mark not only wants money for this but he wants to make it his job.

I'm not against handing money to people for a product they made that I enjoyed.
But contrary to Sgt. Mark's Brutal Doom by Sgt. Mark (featuring original Sgt. Mark work made by Sgt. Mark), it's not actually his product.

It's like starting a patreon for Samsara.
>>
>>3410815
I generally like keeping the papers for archival purposes. Sure the thought of destroying it has crossed my mind, but I'd still have to decide on that.

The last part is more of a joke, I was saying that even if I hide it I'm sure it will somehow surface again, not that my friends actively look through my stuff to find incriminating pictures.

The smut industry happens to have the least professional people in any industry, period. This is mainly because people who center their lives on sex are generally immature as fuck - this in itself isn't a problem, most good people in the industry DO own up to that they just like drawing butts and they like making money off of it. It's the fags who want to be taken seriously that make it worse.

Novel mod idea: All weapons have small ammo pools, and when spent you have to wait a set amount of time before it's restocked. Forcing you to switch between weapons frequently.
>>
>>3410864
what should ammo pickups be replaced with?
>>
>>3410864
Novel mod idea: There's no ammo for any guns, you use them as melee weapons. Your only ranged attacks are weak hadoukens which replace your punch and your chainsaw shoots its teeth rapid-fire.
>>
>>3410867

I was thinking some really arcadey bullshit gimmick were ammo pickups become weapon XP, and when weapons level up they get new things like better primary fires, secondary fire, bigger ammo pools, faster restocks, etc.
>>
>>3410868

Fuck. That's awesome
>>
>>3410868
I think the BFG is very fragile and would break if you hit something with it
>>
>>3410868
>your chainsaw shoots its teeth rapid-fire.
Wouldnt you run out of teeth rather quickly? Or do you just say it has infinite ammunition as a game-ism (since the actual chainsaw has infinite fuel)
>>
>>3410878

You have to pull a lever back, the blade retracts and there's an audible KERSHUNK sound as the blade snaps back out with a full set of teeth.

So you reload your chainsaw.
>>
>>3410868
I'm thinking a little harder about this now.
>Each weapon has their own advantages/disadvantages
>Pistol's a fast bludgeon, but doesn't do any real damage to anything above Chaingunners
>Shotgun is themiddle-man bludgeon
>Super Shotgun's got some gunpowder stuck in it so it blows up if you hit something, and you can't swing again for a couple seconds afterwards
>Chaingun has the best "range" of all the guns, but has the slowest swingspeed
>Rocket launcher occasionally drops a dud whenever it's swung - it's a bit faster than the chaingun, but does less damage - that doesn't have any forward movement, it just instantly drops downward. If used correctly, it can one-shot most enemies due to gravity.
>Plasma rifle occasionally activates but doesn't fire, singing enemies and causing DOT
>BFG is heavy, clunky, and slow, but if you hit the "overheat" button in it, you can drop it and run away, and it causes an explosion akin to the BFG projectile

>>3410878
>>3410880
It shoots out 20 shots within two seconds, and then afterwards you have to slap on a new chain full of sharp teeth. That's your only "ammo pickup" but you can only get it off of human enemies.
>>
>>3410880
Fuck reloading
>>
>>3410884

better yet, make the guns into melee weapons modeled after the doom guns. So the pistol would be a little dagger with a black blade, the shotgun would be a mace, the ssg would be a mace with some kinda mechanism to go bang on hit.

the chaingun would be a halberd or a spear of some kind. The rocket laucnher would be a hammer that drops a rocket on hit that explodes after a short delay, the plasma rifle would be a flaming axe or some shit.

and finally the BFG would be a buster sword.
>>
>>3410891
Nah, fuck that. That's GMOTA and I don't wanna tread on territory.

It's better if they're literally just the guns with no ammo. Everyone else has ammo, other than him. He just for some reason can't take it.
>>
>>3410892
>Nah, fuck that. That's GMOTA and I don't wanna tread on territory.

I wouldn't be offended you know. GMOTA is more arcadey bullshit than anything else.
>>
>>3410898
Yeah but still. Once one person also starts aping the "medieval weapon" idea from you, a bunch of others will.

Besides, it's a lot funnier if it's actually just guns with no ammo he's resorting to beating people.

Also, I'm technologically retarded so I couldn't make this if I tried.
>>
>>3410864
No point, since the map design should already incorporate switching weapon fitting for situation and rationing ammunition.

Okay, hear me out now, since we're talking about bizarre mod concepts, what if there was a mod where you're a living, breathing, walking, talking voodoo doll? Like, the only way to damage monsters is to let them attack you. The amount of damage they receive is relative to how much they dealt to you, example
>Imp throws fireball at you and deals 50 damage (half of your stating 100 hp)
>And so the imp receives back 30 in damage (half of his 60hp starting health)

You can still attack enemies with your fists, but doing so will heal yourself and the enemy
>>
>>3410920
It's not right behind, there's an angle, I think it's just because it's flat on top and the FOV is kind of squishing the barrel back.

I'll try messing with the camera position and FOV though, I think I can get some more barrel visible.

Also need to figure out how I'm going to specular the flat faces, I think I can do better than just draw white on the edges.
>>
>>3410936
I wasn't trying to complain, I was just making an observation. It looks really nice though, you don't see too many revolvers with the wider barrels for designs unless it's more from the side, kinda like Trailblazer's.

Not to mention that it wouldn't be very interesting. Since enemies already aim at you by default, the best tactic to deploy would be to... just stand still. Exciting.
Unless you made the enemies deliberately aim away from you so that you'd have to run in the way of their projectiles. But then, it'd be even more tedious.
