I think it's just really unpolished.
Same about the Friday The 13th game (which I think could be a pretty good game with some changes and fixes).

There aren't many co-op platformers on the console so it's fun for that. It can go up to 4 players which is pretty amazing.

It's mediocre but not the worst. You can get some fun out of it with the right mindset. I kinda like the main music somehow.

I am aware the AVGN did his routine on this game and people have taken him seriously, people is at fault if they took a comedy video that is generally based screaming expletives when describing games at face value without trying out the game themselves.

You aren't going to change people's "believe everything they see on tv" attitude no matter what, and you definitely won't stop people from making video content, and there's always someone who will like someone else's video. It's entertainment, if you don't like it, don't watch it.
The whole derogatory "e-celeb" meme just makes people sound like assholes.
