That's what I'm hoping for, just gonna have to see if I can get it open and then figure out what I'll need to replace it.

Also I have to figure out how to open it, there's no obvious screw spots anywhere and the one groove I can spot doesn't look very opening-friendly.

You should be able to replace the batteries.

You have two options here.

Open it up to see what kind of cells make up the OG batteries and replace the dead cells (look up photonicinductions video "cordless drill battery fix" for tips).
Alternatively, you could try to get some li-ion battery packs that match the voltage/amperage and cram them and a charging circuit inside the original case.

First would be easiest to do.
Second would be more work and more expensive, but would likely provide bettery battery life.


Oh, and to the PSX/PS1 trolls, its fun to troll about it in a troll thread, but jeeze, take it easy in a real thread.

Its likely clips/glue holding it together. Make surr to look under any rubber feet or stickers for screw holes though.

Grab a hot glue gun if you dont have one, probably the best way to close the case again assuming you'll have to break clips.
