Classic Roll's design is so generic that it's impossible to pin down any specific influences, but I think Francoise (from Cyborg 009) is one of them.

There are nine robot masters originally built by Dr. Light, just like there are nine original cyborgs in Cyborg 009.

And it seems not-so-coincidental that in both series, the girl is the third one created. Francoise is Cyborg 003, and Roll is DRN-002 (Blues and Rock being 000 and 001 respectively).

I always figured it was partly inspired by Luna from Cassharn, just like so many other elements inspired by it, especially the robot dog turning into vehicles.
