DOS games got pretty good around the mid 90's, post-DOOM, really. It was only the 80s where it was just terrible arcade conversions and D&D for people so autistic they don't even have friends to play D&D with.

Yay I had a floppy with all those on as a kid - I used to run them on GW-BASIC. Cheesy as hell. ART was just constant random rectangles with some rubbish sounds. MUSIC was alright - a library of classical tunes with an ASCII animated keyboard. SPACE was just some stupid UFO bobbing about the screen with annoying high-pitched sounds. I used to like "hacking" the code to make them fuck up.

I was literally just playing pic related. Got the directories right and got it to run under 98se but didn't get sound before my kid woke up from his nap. 90s arcade games need their sound.
