Name one (1) decent game on this platform.
You can't.
So post platforms similar to this but with an actually good library.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Dungeon Keeper is pretty good.
Duke Nukem 3D also
DOS games got pretty good around the mid 90's, post-DOOM, really. It was only the 80s where it was just terrible arcade conversions and D&D for people so autistic they don't even have friends to play D&D with.

>and D&D for people so autistic they don't even have friends to play D&D with.

Amiga, though saying that DOS has no decent games is clearly trolling, DOS has great games and I agree with>>3307457, the best stuff came around early middle-middle 90's.
>>3307457
>D&D for people so autistic they don't even have friends to play D&D with.
Heh, spot on, the games are still enjoyable though.

PC-98

>>3307604
a lot of good shit in 1990 and 1989, and 1996 (Win95 adoption took a while)
>>3307612
so what?
>>3307618
>Proving my point that PC games weren't good until
wait, what? The fact that DOS games have been ported to other platforms means these games weren't good?
>you'd just be better playing it on the Amiga
that's a very different statement from
>can probably just be played on the Amiga
You can certainly play them on the Amiga, but there's no reason to
>>3307618 you are incorrect
>>3307404
>all those .BAS files
Yay I had a floppy with all those on as a kid - I used to run them on GW-BASIC. Cheesy as hell. ART was just constant random rectangles with some rubbish sounds. MUSIC was alright - a library of classical tunes with an ASCII animated keyboard. SPACE was just some stupid UFO bobbing about the screen with annoying high-pitched sounds. I used to like "hacking" the code to make them fuck up.
>>3307628 you are still incorrect
>>3307404
What do you mean *SNORT* there are none? I'll pummel one out of you!

And retro hentai games.
neurotypicals get out, dungeon crawlers are the bees knees
For reference IIRC
>>3307404
This is PC-DOS
>>3307490
This is DOS/V
This started out as some weird double-bait thread but I approve of the discussion
I was literally just playing pic related. Got the directories right and got it to run under 98se but didn't get sound before my kid woke up from his nap. 90s arcade games need their sound.
>>3307869
>This is DOS/V
It's not. Not every Japanese version of MS-DOS is DOS/V. DOS/V is a specific implementation of Japanese characters in IBM/DOS.
He's MS-DOS running on the FM Towns.
>>3307641
Starcontrol 1 too. Both are fantastic.
>fullgame
>gotta hit so gud you can kill an ur quan a shofixti. He can just come in and wreck your colonies and star base whenever he wants.
Your only choice is to get gud or whittle him down with a swarm of shofixti
Kroz, ZZT, and others like that.
Also various RPGs like Wasteland, Dark Heart of Uukrul, and pic.

Disgusting Americans censoring glorious Nippon games.
