It is on the Xbox 360 for just $15USD, sometimes on sale for $5. I got it back in the day for $55 but the teeth on the case holding the disc got smashed in through shipping. You pay way less now than I did back then.

No, but at least you can download and play it. Saturn prices seem to be on the rise lately, I don't know why. I'm thinking of picking up Cyberbots while it's still reasonable.

I burned a CD-R with it and it works perfectly.

Playing backups on Saturn is now easier than ever either with modchip or pseudosaturn.

yeah i got that i can get it cheaper other ways but im trying to collect orginal hardware. I love the saturn but the prices are only getting higher at this point

Radiant Silvergun used to be like 300-400 bucks before it was on Xbox, you can find it now for under 200.

As a general rule, yes, but when a Japanese game is expensive, it is expensive.

Western games can be cheap (less likely as of late), medium priced (30, 40, 50) or expensive (150+).
Most japanese games don't go beyond the 15, 20 dollars, but certain ones, like Radiant Silvergun, are more expensive, might be due to high demand and low units, which is rare in japan's case but RSG was published by ESP, which was a kinda small publisher and used to release titles with low unit production. Maybe only a couple dozens or hundreds thousand copies exist of it, I'm just guessing.

There are definitely more expensive games, like Taromaru.

But neither RSG or Taromaru have US versions. I'd imagine if they had, they'd be twice as expensive.

Alot of games got released in japan that never got a western release, making them more expensive. id assume they are cheaper if you were to buy them in japan. there were around 40+ shmups that were never released in the west and they are mostly in the 40+ range.
