it's the best way, im pretty sure you could play the earlier versions but it wouldn't be as good. the translation was done with a lot of heart and is really god damn good, so i recommend you go for that

Blade Runner is always a movie to recommend, always. I love how philosophical and allegory filled it is. Some may not see the subtextual stuff as important but the plot is fairly interesting as is, and the cinematography and cutting edge lighting make it a very enjoyable movie for any viewer.

Being high last time I saw it made it even better, as an overall experience.

It's not even a valid approximation in my opinion. You still have hard-edged pixels which defeats the whole point of the exercise.

Okay...that was to show the image structure in some detail. Point is that those kinds of overlay "filters" completely miss the point of scanlines and cannot in any way replicate them effectively.
