I think the music to the Mario Artist games for N64DD are pretty cool. I don't think I've heard anything like them from other retro games.

Anyways, I always enjoyed The Neverhood OST's quirkiness.
Only sound track I know of that seems like everything was composed while drunk and still sounds amazing.
