Anyone enjoyed VMUs?
Did anyone try to write their own game for VMU?Maybe anyone here even had Playstation VMU?

Yeah, the VMU is a great item. It was one of the best ideas for the Dreamcast. They should have been a little more powerful, though.
I thought it was great. I don't think it was really used to it's fullest but I suppose that's better than forcing it's gimmick on developers.

Didn't like how the battery would randomly die so fast.
Chao Adventure was GOAT.

VMUs were a great idea but the battery life made them almost useless.
I've written code for a VMU just to fuck around but never done a game. I'd like to see someone do a game that used 2 VMUs connected and held sideways like a little PSP. Just because, I guess
I have a few pocketstations. Vastly superior to the VMU is nearly every way except not looking like a little game boy.

fucking genius. why haven't you ever said this before?

How so?

uh that reminds me I bought some new batteries the other day. need to swap those in

That shit is annoying as fuck.

the real reason I don't play my DC any more

I'm the only one I know left living who can code Sanyo assembly
>>3236037
It can hold more than one game at a time for one thing. Batteries don't require daily replacement. Has an ARM CPU so >200 people in the world can code for it. PCM sound. IR, yes, you can use it as a remote. Should I go on?

>Should I go on?
Why not.

I remember my English version of Monster Rancher 2 mentioning it in the manual even though it was never released outside of Japan.

It still works as a memory card with a flat battery... Only reason for the battery is to play standalone VMU games/functionality independent of the DC.

Sorry, what did you say? I couldn't hear you over the sound of my VMU screeching.
