Getting a new phone. I travel a lot. Want to get one for Emulation. Would like some advice on which phone (formerly iphone) I should get.
I'm guessing you guys might suggest getting like a laptop or something dedicated to emulating or something but I'd really just like to have the option of just carrying around my phone and maybe a controller.
Literally any Android phone will run anything up to PS1 games fine. The only problem is touch controls.
I suggest a Note 4 or a Nexus 6 because you can get them for cheap now. Don't get that sloped screen gimmicky shit.

If you want something dedicated to emulation you can carry around, you should buy a PSP, it's cheap, and it's extremely easy to put emulators on it.
If you needed a new phone anyway, any Android could do.

JXD s5800 is mainly an android gaming handheld, but it also doubles as a phone. Since it's designed with constant gaming in mind, battery lifetime in phone usage is actually quite good. Can play All PS1, and half of the N64 libraries without issue. Attempt Dreamcast at your own risk.

Anyway, it is much better option than phone+controller, but it might look awkward when you are on the phone, but you can easily bypass that with BT garniture.
