Anyone have any experience storing video games in an attic? Had

Het is super bad for electronics bro. You're looking at serious stress on electrolytic capacitors, warped discs, brittle plastics...

I live in the northwest. It's probably gonna be about 100 at the hottest during the hottest days of the summer. You think it's still too hot?

I know it's not the greatest place to store them but just was hoping someone else had any experience storing them in similar places.

I live in alaska and some of my stuff was in an outdoor shed for almost 10 years cycling 80+ to -40 f and it works fine

humidity and condensation is your biggest enemy, I would consider Silica to keep them dry.

here is a pic of as found dudty as hell items.

the SB controller, 3do and xbox all have 50 hours or close to with no signs of damage, just had to clean everything up. you can always rent a small climate controlled storage if you aren't in the 3rd world

That's the thing is it never gets to humid where I'm from. I have all the games in plastic storage bins. As well as the consoles.

Have a gamecube in a plastic storage bin and 64 is in the heavy duty black case underneath the gamecube.

I stored a couple n64s, 2 snes and a master systen for like 5 years and they worked fine, I was a lot younger and the effects on electronics kinda flew over my head..

I wouldn't do it these days obviously, hopefully I can build a neckbeard cave when I get my first house.. currently I just have a corner of my room devoted to a massive pile of retro shit my girlfriend constantly bitches about because she could put another fucking lamp there or something
