What does /vr/ think of this game? I'm thinking of getting it but it seems a bit pricey.
is the sequel any good?

Yes it's worth it. Basically a Zelda game for seasoned Zelda fans. It's really long too. The jumping puzzles and block pushing get annoying after awhile, my only real problems with it. Alundra 2 is a sequel in name only.

It's 7bucks on psn, what do you mean pricey?
It's cool but really drags after a while.

I played through the first two dungeons of it and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Way too slow paced and generic. It gets a lot of love online though so I might go back to it sometime soon and see if it gets much better...
Alundra has a memorable and interesting storyline, or at least storytelling, and some pretty gorgeous pixel artwork.
You either like hard ass puzzles and platforming or you don't. Many people get a sour taste over not being able to solve this or that puzzle and being bitter over looking up a solution online or what have you.
Whatever.
If you liked Landstalker you will like Alundra.

Yeah, it is.

is it kind of like Brain Lord?

It's kinda like landstalker.
Alundra is a great game. It's everything I wished Zelda games ever did, Zelda games always remain on the surface of things, whether it's combat, adventure, puzzle or storytelling.
Alundra goes deeper on every aspect and with its mechanics. On top of that it has great art and music.
My only complains were rather minor:
- being a 2D game with "3D" platforming, soemtimes the perspective is hard to make out. You may not know exactly the height of a platform until you try to jump on it.
- a couple of puzzles are hard to make out, by design flaw. For instance you're in a room with 2 switches, there is a pannel right in between them. The pannel tells you a clue about a puzzle involving switches.
Turns out that clue isn't for the switches around the pannel, but for the next ones, in the next room. How fucked up is that?
- Make sure to get the casino open early on, or at least at some point it won't be possible anymore, and all the hidden treasures you'll be collecting will be for nothing.

I know it's your opinion and all, but I still disagree. While I do like some aspects of Alundra and its storytelling, I can't say it's really better in all aspects than teh Zeldas (at least most of the 2D entries).
its s much better successor to landstalker than dark savior ever was

What about Ladystalker though.

>Aeon Genesis translations
NEVER EVER.

Well its normal, even the main character looks like Link but being a redhead instead of a blonde

Overrated crap that get praised mainly by Sonyfags and they never played an actual Zelda games in their lives.
