Strider 1 (as well as it's spin offs) just consist of walking right and button mashing. Sure, you jump occasionally, but it's just a constant onslaught of random enemies that barely pose a threat. It's shit

Strider 2 and the new one are both just bad games. They have such great controls and moves that you can do, but the levels are sparse and uninteresting, and it's the same onslaught of harmless enemies as the original games.

5 fucking games in this series, and the ALL suck ass. Good Work Crapcom...

Strider is amazing. Sadly I don't have anything to say about the unequivocally good ones, and instead want to mention the oddball: the NES version, which is totally different and buggy as fuck, but holds a special place in my heart. I wish there were more games like it.

The whole game is anticlimatic, because aside from the acrobatic gimimcks, the gameplay isn't that good. I would have preferred they ported Willow to the Genesis instead of Strider 2bh.

Strider 2 is over quickly before you realize it and the game rarely shows off what its capable of with its mechanics thanks to boring level design and the incredibly short length of every area. You can clear most areas in less than 30 seconds.

Strider 1 isn't as refined in terms of controls, but it at the very least holds up thanks to some strong level design and levels not being bite sized.
