How rare is this game? In all the time I've been searching for it (a month or two), I've never seen a single CIB copy show up on eBay, and only one loose disc copy. All the rest of the listings are for the various Japanese copies of the game.
Pretty much every other "rare" retro game, until you get into the uber rare games like Air Raid, always has at least one listing up on eBay, so I find it curious that this game has never shown up.
the rom isn't rare
By Sega CD standards, it's uncommon (not rare or common). However it's a good game that most Sega CD owners want, and that makes in rare from a general sense.

You must not be looking too hard. The sold auctions show that there have been 3 or 4 sold in the last month.
There's been at least 12 sold in the last 3months.
Of that many were complete.

This is one I want a lot but don't have and it's unlikely to fall back down to my valuation unless I get lucky and someone out there somewhere is as dumb or even dumber than OP at eBay.

Ok, I'm just a retard. Thanks Anon.

I'd just burn it
>>3077932
Oh I know I can just burn/emulate, but I like to collect games. This one isn't even that expensive compared to some of my other purchases.

A little steep.
But I guess that's common among games of that caliber?

It's pretty entry level for a game like that these days.
Keio Flying squadron is around $800 in nice condition.

Holy fucking hell. I'm glad I got my copy for as cheap as I did. I had no idea that game had shot up so much.

how much would just the disc of the saturn sequel be worth PAL?

About $80 to $100ish probably.
