In the late 90s I bought a SNES pad from a shop called Index Extra - like an Argos type place where you see what you want in a catalogue and they get it from the back room.

In the catalogue it looked exactly like a real pad but with no logo. The actual one I got, however, was so bad, the plastic was almost Christmas cracker quality. Badly moulded, uneven and horribly light and brittle feeling. The buttons too - they were slightly mis-shapen and didn't press cleanly.

It was so bad I just had to take it back and tell them it was just a terrible product all round.

Seriously, it was laughable how they could ever think of selling it.

I remember reading another thread on here about scalpers/resellers, and some of the comments were about fucking with them. I recall some of them suggested sending a "pic" of the games you'd like to sell them, and do a switch-n-bait so that it's actually gay porn or something like when the scalper opens it in e-mail. Or sending them a fake address to the middle of buttfuck nowhere, so they drive out there for no reason, thinking they'll get SNES rpg's for $5 a piece.

I've never done any of these myself, it's tempting to do it on Kijiji, but if you really want to fuck with them those are some ways you could do it. At least if you're talking about ones on craiglist and shit.
