Basically your best bet is to either buy a used cobalt flux or build your own out of 2x4s and some plexiglass.

flat soft pad, plywood, vinyl covering (think office chair wheel carpet mat), 2-3 cardboard squares taped to plywood under pad for each arrow, staple gun and duct tape the shit of it to wrap it up good

flat soft pad: 2nd player tier
foam soft pad with raised buttons: good enough tier.
hard pads: asian girl tier.

Cobalt Flux

I had 2 of these (for 2 players not because one broke) and they lasted for about 5 years before I tossed em since I stopped using them. Really regret it but the quality was great. Hard pad is your best choice. RedOctane or Cobalt Flux, not something from China.

If you don't feel like shelling out for a hard pad the soft pads with the foam inserts like >>3016073 are decent, but once you start playing on Standard and Heavy you're going to wanna upgrade.
