Main game in Lufia 2 is incredibly tedious and poorly paced, with one arbitrary plot justification for another fucking dungeon after another. Rarely are the dungeons actual places with a purpose in the world instead of just another hole/tower filled with puzzles and monsters. The only good parts of the game are when you're actually catching up with and fighting the sinistrals, and that's like 10% of the game or less.

I would say Xenocard, but that's 6th gen.
