Why do you even care about the intro? I mean, except for the music. About the Engrish, I always find it charming.

It's boring as shit and even Toaplan staff have difficulty understanding its popularity since it was made only as a training project for new recruits. The meme and its deliciously 80's aesthetics are the only things it has going for it.

Just the whole scenario that's going on during the intro sequence. I just love that the game opens up with shit hitting the fan and you're sent as the last hope to avenge everyone who got killed by Cats. The use of music and just the desperation of it all always gets me excited whenever I play the game.

the intro is the only good part about the game

it's very dull and colorless with boring weaponry, and the Galaga tractor beam isn't fun like Gaiares

This game has some great music.

The whole soundtrack is superb but the intro track combined with the excellent 80s animu aesthetics is just amazing. Even if it was translated properly it'd still be hype as fuck, the Engrish is just the icing on the top.

It's also probably the most forgiving shmup I've ever played. Normally I like a challenge, sometimes its nice to play a game where you just wanna shoot shit and not have to worry about dying every three seconds
