Never thought about it. Might be a region thing. Where are the ones you have from? Mine is from the UK. I think at least, got it second hand.

Both Germany. The grey one I bough off a kid in 2001 and it was probably the one included with Pokemon Stadium but I am not totally sure. The puprle one I just got off ebay.

Interesting, a quick poke around ebay is showing several purple-stickered transfer paks being sold from the UK. American here, never even knew they came in purple.
