Imagine around 6 months from now Serena gets a cameo in SM, she has new clothes and an updated design, and she still loves Ash as much as ever and Amour is heavily promoted upon her return. SM Ash is also modified to be more mature again around her character, and the two go on dates and have fun together in Alola.

And all the other girls like Lillie/Mallow/Lana tease Serena about liking Ash. It would be hilarious to go from this Misty cameo where there's no shipping and she and Ash barely interact, to a Serena cameo with tons of Amour. God I'd laugh so much if it happened.

If they ever decide to give a Hoenn starter to Serena just cuz, it's much too probable she will get Mudkip. She already has a fire starter in her team, and it wouldn't make sense to get Treeko since a major character from her gen already (Shota) already raised one from start into Mega Sceptile. Because as of the past few series the villian arcs have been or in BW's case could have been really good.

XY was easily the best done villain arc, BW's was ass but looked to have potentially been really good had the plans for the original storyline not been canned.

DP wasn't bad and the added character of Hunter J made things even more interesting.

I've never seen the Hoenn villain episodes aside from the Groudon/Kyogre 2 part finale which wasn't very good.

Aether/Skull hasn't been super fleshed out, but they've laid a foundation for the eventual arc since the very beginning of SM.

It's not uncommon for retied VA's to do small roles every now and then. Delia's VA is retired but every couple of years has continued to voice Delia for the anime. May's VA could easily come and do lines for an episode or two and it wouldn't be strange.
