The scene is identical save for Hau being there instead of at Aether with you and Lillie.

They seem to appear (Assembly at least) in similar cutscene to the one with Buzzwhole/Pheromosa. Maybe they are called in the standard pokemon world by Necrozma (maybe are from its Ultraspace since they seem to share the same theme) and so they replace the two Bug/Fighting UCs.

It's already enough that we couldn't have one game that included all alola forms and UBs, but I wonder if GF would sink so low as to not include some UBs from SM

I think Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Xurkitree, Celesteela, and Kartana will all be replaced by new UBs. Maybe Guzzlord, too, and instead you'll get Guzzlord from a separate sidequest involving the one that appeared years ago.

Nihilego, Xurkitree, and Guzzlord aren't version exclusive, and the former is Plot important. So I'd say we get at least four new UBs this game (including the two revealed), and at most six.

I'm sure it would be integrated into the postgame plot like maybe the ultra beast Hunter guys found a way to enter the wormholes to collect data on them so they sent operatives to the ultra spaces with outfits that suit the area so they aren't attacked by the beasts. It would explain why there are people in what seems to be kartanas ultra space in outfits that somewhat match the scenery.
