None of the cutscenes are interesting at all. Everyone just stands still while they wave their hands and then a text box appears. MGS has more cutscenes than gameplay at times, but the thing is there the cutscenes are actually fun to watch. Or, other RPG's have voiced cutscenes, and while I don't think those would really work well with pokemon, it's certainly more interesting than a mute textbox.

We don't need 5 minutes of text to get told to "do the water trial", we don't need to hear about how Hau loves malasadas for the 50th time, and we don't need to hear "get back in the bag" at all.

Only plebs didn't like the cutscenes.

This. People keep defending the cutscenes because other games do it. However, most other examples they are atleast visual porn. SM it's just so static and uninteresting. The festival at the end of the main story is just a sea of stock animations for like 5 minutes. Godawful.

Whats worse wee have to go through Lillie's life story and change all over again except this time ist not even anu surprise because we know how it will all go down and what is going on.
