The problem is leak season. Underage youtubers and fansites have massively linked to /vp/ as a source for leaks in gen 6 and especially 7, even places like Kotaku started linking here.

Leak seasons and about a month after the games are released are the best times for /vp/ though. I'm not denying they bring in a massive influx of newfags but that's when the board is the fastest and has the most fresh content.
