I want Lucario to be removed. This isn't because of its It's simply because being rewarded for bad performance in the form of its aura mechanics is straight up poor gameplay and balance. There isn't any risk or reward to having your strength boosted with damage as it is purely a passive ability automatically gifted to the player regardless of how poorly they are playing or how well the opponent is. At the very least, tone it down or make Lucario have to do work to make use of it.

What episode are we on in the SM anime again, oh! that's right, Not even close to the Poni island part yet. The games will move on once the anime moves on. And not to mention not a single starter has evolved yet. They still could make the switch game that DP remake that fans always wanted. And that could connect with SM. I mean think about it, so many gen 4 pokemons in Pokken, in the 20th anniversary movie, there's piplup, and lucario. And we even get a bigger hint. Ash in the anime, is visiting all previous regions, by the time the filler gets to that point 2018 or the end of it will probably come to a close And people will be all over the switch pokemon games dick.

At best, gen 7 has until 2019, and so far we're nearly a full through gen 7 with no words on a new Smash game. And no, the anime follows the games, not the other way around. If they get word that the gen is ending, they can easily just speed through the whole Ula Ula and Poni segments. And now way are they debuting a new system with a remake, what are you smoking? They'll want to maximize profits for the first game on a new system, and new gens provide that.

Quite honestly I really hope Jigglypuff is removed. I get that it was one of the original characters but it's a terrible character and the Pokemon hasn't been relevant in years. As a replacement I think instead of Decidueye, who already has fighting game representation, Tapu Koko would be a great choice as I could see some unique playability with it.

As far as adding a Pokemon, it would probably need to be a Pokemon that is either shilled as a rep for an entire gen like Lucario and Jigglypuff, a starter, or i guess a legendary like Mewtwo that isn't fuckhuge. I'd like to see what they could do with more quadrupedal or just non bipedal Pokemon or characters in general.
