It was apparently good but really easy, and it ends with plot threads open for a sequel when they haven't said anything yet about making a sequel.

They're not bringing it to us until it's time to promote the Alex Hirsch movie

It ends with a to be continued screen after Mewtwo flies by. That is not "plot threads" and they have most certainly said something about a sequel.
