I originally had some hope seeing as he had corphish as a starter. I thought he could be neat despite the dumb fat dancing gimmick. His final team was a letdown even before I learned about the movepool. At least Shauna had Goodra and bowl cut had raichu I guess. This team is just bland.

All Pokemon except Vaporeon have one (or TWO in case of Ninetales) moves they don't have in its level up moveset.

Hell, the fucker is so good his Vaporeon has Mist, which is next to impossible to get due to an oversight in game's programming. Vaporeon learns two moves at Level 42 in Yellow, which no other Pokemon in G1 does, but the game doesn't know how to handle that.

Gen VII was the first gen I had a challenge with, because I didn't use the experience share, and the game was designed around you having it on the whole game. Eventually I turned it on for grinding on the last island, and turned it off again. Made Alola actually pretty fun.
