What's your favourite evolution method and which one do

Evolution stones. Level up, learn the moves you want, evolve. Clean, plain and simple. I always thought that most Pokemon should level up this way. Least favorite is trade evolutions because I never had any friends who played and would trade back and forth.

Evolution methods are not important and serve only as a roadblock for you to not get broken pokemon early game. There isn't much to discuss here

I hate all trade evolutions. Whether it's just trading, trading while holding an item or trading for an specific Pokémon, I hate them all.

I hate all those level up with random useless item or trade with random useless item. Mostly because the items are super rare and disappear after use, and when not in use, they clutter the bag.

Malamar's has to be the best. Creative, but it doesn't require some bullshit item or trade or anything. It's super gimmicky but not tedious.

Stone evolution is usually my favorite because there arent that many so its always special. Trade evo's can go fuck themselves and im shocked they still havnt crammed in a way to get around that now adays.

One that is based off their ability. Said Pokemon would have two non-hidden Abilities and its respective evolutions get to keep that one, perhaps with a HA that fits thematically.
For instance, something that has both Defiant and Competitive, and then it can evolve into two different Pokemon entirely depending on which ability it has.
HAs could be, respectively, Moxie and a Sp.A equivalent but not Soul-Heart, since its mechanic is even better.
