I curiously watched the battles (Gym Leaders and League) from the XY sub since you guys hype up the anime up so much.

The battle sequences weren't even as well animated as your standard action anime. Breaking up the action every 6 seconds with shots to the trainers, audience reactions, and Clemont explaining what every single move does really hurts the flow too. I had a hard time sitting through it.

The love story was one sided.

4 pokémon weak to faries.
2 pokémon weak to rock(with a 4x weakness)
I know types aren't everything, but still.

Serena gaining pokémon that have natural talent. I mean yes, we seen her train, but it still makes it less earned.

The Pokemon anime is shit. You don't watch it for quality or for the humans, you watch it for the Pokemon. Kalos did not have enough new Pokemon to keep itself going and the main characters were at their most boring, so there was absolutely nothing to like about it.

The fights aren't even good though. It's just flashy nonsense with shit choreography that doesn't actually make sense. Pokemon Origins and Generations had better fights. Everything else was just shitty filler, the characters are bland as shit, and everyone suck's Ash's dick for no real reason.
