Yeah that must be it. You see, Niantic has changed a lot lately regarding Pokémon GO and its way to punish cheaters. Any 3rd party apps that require you to log in are basically unsafe when on Android. It's different on iOS since Apple's policy is to never send any sort of customer data to ANYONE, even developers. Android, however, does. So are you spoofing on Android? You are EVENTUALLY going to get punished for it. What are the punishments? Nobody knows yet. But I doubt Niantic is actually going to give out permanent bans to those who only spoofed/used IV checkers etc.

Trash it because it costs far too much to power up a level 1 Pokémon, against a level 20+ Pokémon caught in the wild and may have good IVs.
All you really want for attackers are very high attack, and suitably good defense+stamina (stamina preferable)

Sometimes you just get lucky and find something like this, it's level 30 with 15/13/14 which is incredible luck.

What level 3 raids are the easiest to solo? I need to keep burning those free raid passes for Gold berries and candies.

Raid bosses have fixed HP based on their tier, ignoring the Stamina stat.
So you need to account for the defense stat instead.

Vaporeon is soloable with strong Exeggutors.
Arcanine is maybe soloable, with strong Golem.
Gengar is soloable with strong Tyranitars.
Of course movesets count, both sides. If the raid boss has moves that fuck your shit up there's not much you can do.

Whenever you put a Pokémon in a gym it CP lowers by a bit, so you can feed it one berry and it's completely full again. But even though it's full, you can still feed it several more berries. What does that do? Do you overfeed it or something?

It's called motivation, and reduced motivation scales the CP down.
Feeding it a berry when it's at full motivation does overfeed it, and once that motivation drops if you feed it again, it won't restore as much motivation.
Although once some time has passed, berries restore more motivation again. Each berry feeding is about half as effective as the previous berry, until it stops eating once fed 10 berries.

The main reason you'd want to overfeed something is to build up your gym XP and get stardust, or to get rid of excess berries in your inventory. I typically keep around 70 razz berries in my inventory to try and keep a gym motivated, and put pretty much all nanabs in first.

Is this mother fucker really a 2% catch rate?

Has anyone encountered an error/a bug where your game hangs when fighting in a gym? You can beat the opponent, but it never faints and the timer just ticks to zero, after which nothing happens. The defending mon doesn't lose cp and your mon doesn't even need potions.
After restarting the game the gym has the fighting animation and it ends when your timer would reach zero.

What's the trigger for the bug and how to avoid it? It also happens to both players if you're battling the same gym with someone else.

Okay, can someone tell me how this is possible?

Me and my friend are fighting a Yellow gym here. The only Pokémon in there is a Blissey, 2600 CP. When we beat it once, its CP drops to around 1700. But when we go into the gym again, the Blissey already gained a large portion of its CP back. It's like the owner fed the Blissey some berries in the meantime. But isn't it impossible to feed your Pokémon berries when (and a few minutes before/after) the gym is being attacked? It almost feels that this person is cheating in some sort of way. We managed to beat the gym down once completely, and right when we wanted to add our Pokémon into the gym THIS PERSON'S BLISSEY WAS IN IT ALREADY AGAIN. The gym turned from neutral to Yellow again, and there's nothing we could do about it.

Can somebody tell me what's going on here? What's even scarier about this is the fact that the name of the gym is 'The house of Czaar Peter' and the trainer adding his Blissey into the gym is called Czaarpeter. I am literally flabbergasted and we have no clue what's going on.

I have no idea what triggers it, logging out, switching off your phone, disconnecting your wifi does NOT fix it.
After 10 tries, just walk away and try again in 30-45 mins. That works. Usually.

What the fuck is going on with this game now? Yesterday and today all the gyms that had a legendary raid going on could not load the Pokemon on top of the gym. Instead it showed a ball of light. And when I tried to access the gym the app then stopped working. I closed the app and opened it again, but it was the same thing. All raids around showed their respective raid boss on top but not the legendaries (Raikou in this case). The only way to get around that was to uninstall the app and download it again.
