Did it ever occur to you that maybe he had hundreds of both Destiny Knots and 6 IV Dittos? That maybe giving away one Destiny Knot meant nothing when he could mass produce dozens more in an instant? People dont just give things away when it would inconvenience them. What makes it worse is you tried to reciprocate the "kindness" by offering up a present of your own and he flat out refused. The truth is you were just a stepping stone in that kids attempts at boosting his own ego. To him, you were just a number. Dont be so naive as to think there are actually nice people out there.

I remember I was asking for a HA Cyndaquil and this one anon said he'd give me one. Too bad he ended up being a jew about it and insisted on me giving him a Kyogre. Ended up dumping the trade and going to serebii where I actually did get it for free. Like come the fuck on nigger it takes much less effort to breed a Cyndaquil than to trudge through an entire game and grab a Kyogre.

Since I use pksm I give away shinies,rare mons or perfect mons on WT whenever I go to the Festival Plaza, I dunno if any of /vp/ got one

Also some people dislike people who do this but I don't care, I liked it when I got a perfect shiny adamant wimpod when I was playing legit and was starting moon, also this wimpod come nicknamed "Randall" was it any of the anons on /vp/ who wonder traded it?

I usually drop TCGO codes in the TCG threads here if some are included with games I buy and such. It isn't much but it is something.

When sumo first released, I wondertraded tons of HA alolan vulpixes with egg moves
tons and tons
Then I'd take all of the abras I got, evolved them to kadabra, and I traded them again
I miss the "nice!" from the PSS

Helping people trade evolve shinies and small giveaway threads when I used to hatch shinies back in X/Y. Gave someone an ability capsule that I got randomly through a trade. Before injecting was a thing, I got a Karrablast with its HA through the GTS by chance. So I essentially introduced HA Karrablast into /vp/'s X/Y trading economy. That was pretty cool, I guess.

A few anons helped me evolve my shiny Porygon, Haunter, and Karrablast. There were also the old 6 IV Ditto giveaway threads, but those just helped anons in general.

I trade HA mons for whatever I need from GTS

No, not so far anyway. I typically just spend more time on showdown than ds, and there's no one nice on showdown.

I traded a shiny spearow i found while catching dittos by the observatory in SM. It was a vp trade. It had a bad nature, so it didn't feel like a loss.
I even forgot what the dude (or kid) gave me for it, but they really wanted something i felt was rare trash. So good for them.

I have a hacked 3DS and use Ledybot to Wonder Trade perfect level one Shinies now and then. They always have nice nicknames, optimal Natures, 4 Egg moves and are in matching Pokeballs.

Most recently, I sent out a horde of Shiny female Mareanie. They were all named Raspberry. I hope at least one person out there kept and trained their little spiny tentacle monster.

I once got a shiny 6IV Jirachi over Wonder Trade from someone named vAvA. His PSS message was "Wonder Trade Santa"
Obviously hacked but it was still really nice

Ive given away some of my only legendarys just to help people out. Its basic human instinct to help others. Just because the world is full of narcissists doesnt mean everyone is one.

My PC is running out of space so I decided to giveaway a box of perfect breedjects rather than releasing them.

I traded an event Mew to another player for a shiny Dragonair who was really sad they missed the event because they couldn't get to a Gamestop. That felt good.

I was trading haunters with someone, so I decided to be nice and give them a free everstone.

I tried to collect Terrakion to pokecheck them for good IVs. Forgot about them, but later I Wonder Traded all but the Jolly and Adamant ones this and last gen, so a lot of kids got to fill up their national dex I guess.
Any time I need something through the GTS I give my pokemon a Big Nugget because I have plenty.
