The BW anime probably would have been a lot better if the Plasma plot hadn't been screwed up by the earthquake. A lot of the issues would have existed anyway, but I think a lot of the problems were from that, and screwed up pacing caused by game release schedules. I don't really blame the directors too much for how bad the BW anime turned out.
