Honestly pokemon soulsilver. Had a blast playing it as a kid and even enjoy it to this day. I thought i liked pearl best because it was my first game but i coudnt even finish it because of how slow it is.

After replaying a bunch of the games, I have to go with Platinum.

HGSS or Platinum, I can't decide.

And whatever it is, it's both my favorite AND the best. How beta do you have to be to distinct these two?

My favorite main Pokemon game is White 2, I got White when it first came out and got it stolen so when White 2 came out I was pretty hype to get a do-over. Little did I know it was not only a sequel but the first Pokemon game I actually loved exploring and doing all the side stuff in.

Something about going into it knowing that it was going to be story driven, made me more prepared to sit back and enjoy the cinematics.
Music was good too.
silvally came out of this gen as well, my current favorite pokemon.

Platinum, my first and favorite Pokemon game

HG, the only thing I don't like about it, is how limited Johto Pokédex is and they didn't add all Gen 4 evolutions. Also, I love Lyra.

It's a tie between PBR and Colosseum. Anything that connects to the main games and lengthens the amount of time you spend battling over exploring is god-tier in my book. I would have chose Stadium 2, but I actually have never had my own teams to use in Stadium & Stadium 2. As for mainline games, I'm going to have to say HG/SS. HG/SS, while not perfect, offer plenty for people to do. I still even use my Pokewalker on occasion.
Sucks it's pretty much confirmed that we're not ever going to have a PBR/Stadium type console game again, unless the game that releases on the Switch has a Battle Frontier of that magnitude.
