I was so disappointed in that game, it doesn't hold a candle to Taiko (which also has Pokemon songs) or even Project "No Extreme" Diva, both of which are also on the 3DS

I tried to replay it recently and the cutscenes killed it for me. I can enjoy a mediocre rhythm game, or a good rhythm game with too many cutscenes, but the two put together? No thanks. I guess the writing was on the wall for gen 7 in that regard.
At least it's cheap and the art is cute.
