I loved the mystery around it during Gen 3. It was neat as fuck that it's form was dependent on what game it was in. The Deoxys movie is also really good. I think Deoxys' design is really cool and I love the color scheme.

When I had I caught a Marill early on and he tore through everything. Having a fully evolved Pokémon early on is a godsend. He became my favorite after that. Basically this, but I remember having one in Ruby during my first playthrough. I remember getting really frustrated with it because it took forever to evolve. My Lairon had just hit level 41 and hadn't evolved, so I said to myself "If you don't evolve next level I'm releasing you". He evolved next level, and instantly became one of my favourite pokémon designs.

He didn't become a top tier bro until pic related and I started messing around with rock polish/magnet rise/head smash aggron when I dabbled in competitive play.
