Why was Gen 1 so perfect, lads?
Back then, we had these kind of Pokemons:
>Bulky Assholes (good ATK&DEF)
>Physical Assholes (good ATK&SPE)
>Wizards (good Special)
Why did it all go so wrong?

>it's another genwar episode
Gen I is my favourite gen overall, probably due to nostalgiaglasses, but it had a terrible balance overall

It was perfect because it was POKéMON. A fresh idea, where you had to CATCH and COLLECT creatures on your own and fight gyms.
Without any friendship bullshit, nor stupid time-stealing ideas like trials or cutscenes.

>Why did it all go so wrong?
Well, gen 2, if those are your qualifications.

>A fresh idea, where you had to CATCH and COLLECT creatures on your own
SMT came out four years earlier.

The only thing genwun has going for it is original Sabrina before they turned her into a generic waifu movie star
>>33387928
this game tried its best to make make you lose fail and prevent you from winning making it a challenge wich made it more fun the new games go easy on you wich makes them easy

This literally never happens.

For some reason the bigger the competitive scene for that gen, the easier the game. Gen 1 and 2 were both challenges. Gen 3 was still tough, though not as much. I haven't played Gen 4, hate all the mons in it, but Gen 5-7 have all been easy, although B2W2 had a hard mode once you'd beat the original game. In Pokemon SM, there is one instance that is an actual challenge, the Totem Lurantis. It's got to the point where things like Nuzlocke are played more then the original game because of how easy it is.

>>33388255
