Since gen 8 is now on development. What new gimmicks will pokemon

What type of gimmick? Mega Pokemon and Z Moves were permanent additions to battling that also served as marketing gimmicks. I'm not sure what new thing they could do for next gen since they already covered "super Pokemon" and "super moves". If they're smart they'll just continue make more Megas and regional forms, people like those. It's pretty much either that or we'll get some other dumb or out-there form gimmicks for multiple Pokemon, like "here's light and shadow form Pokemon now!".

Online based gimmicks like O-powers or the plaza are just who cares. They'll do something, but it's probably nothing to care about until you're actually playing it.

It would be hard to speculate on any other random gimmicks or mini-game stuff. Hopefully they'll keep and improve on Pokerides, if that's considered a gimmick, and get rid of HMs permanently.

I was thinking breed fusions would work better, with 20-30 new Pokemon obly obtainable through breeding, which results in something that faintly resembles the two mon and have their types. Could also be multistage as well.

My gimmick would either be co op because of the joycons, or action rpg gameplay instead of turn bases. Something like tales or Valkyrie Profile. Might be a tad much though.

They need to give pokemons accessories. It's absolutley ridiculous they have yet to do it. I want to give my meowth a hat so I can 100% self insert as my favorite trainer
