I heard about it from my brother, since he had a bunch of friends and I didn't. Then my parents bought us each a Gameboy and a copy of Red for me and Blue for him. Then it stopped being popular.

I was in elementary school in America in 1998.
If you existed then, you were into Pokémon.

I don't remember, actually. I know around the same time I was watching minutes of the Pokemon anime before heading to school (Johto seasons in case you were wondering), I was playing Pokemon Stadium because I got it as a present, I had Pokemon marbles etc and saved over my cousins 151 Dex Red save file. But I don't know which one got me INTO Pokemon.

Which is weird because I remember so much other misc shit, like getting Ruby one Christmas, Sapphire for my birthday the next month, FR+LG another Christmas etc, borrowing my cousin's GBA to trade with myself.

That's the gist of it. I got into the games a few years later; could have done it sooner, but I didn't like asking for too much.

To this day, i still love pokemon a lot, i honestly dont know what happened to my Pokemon Emerald, it got lost somewhere and i miss my Swamp bro

>Actually looked into my baby book from when I was three and saw my mom wrote, Nick seems to really like the Peekachoo toy we got her! She also likes the charmander in the ball!. I don't remember the Pikachu plush, but I do remember the charmander; it was one of those minis in the pokeball keychain. Had a bulbasaur and a squirtle too.

Heres a quick explanation as to why I started to the pokemon series with sage. I already saw every single pokemon in the anime, so i thought i knew everything there was to know about the games, so i started with sage to get that feeling of "woah whats that pokemon?!?!?! OwO" since exploration in games is my favorite thing about them. Anyway...
