I would love to use registeel as a party member. Regis may be legendaries but it's not like it would be game breaking to use them.

Yeah, you needed a special Regigigas to get the Regis in Platinum. But then to catch the level 1 Regigigas in Snowpoint Temple, you needed the Regis from Gen 3 or Platinum.

Yes there was a regigigas at lv 1 catchable in platinum if had had the regi trio in your game. But the regi trio itself wasnt catchable in the game itself except if you had a special event only regigigas that unlocked their encounters... Basically get event gigas - unlock regi trio ingame - get ingame gigas. Makes no sens at all, but thats how it worked in platinum...

Why even live?

The moves probably dont mean anything for the games but turbo arm made me think of a cool new concept for the regi trio that would catapult them some tiers upwards.

What if each of the 3 regis got a new powerful (80+ bp) perfect accuracy priority satb move?
Imagine the horror of modest specs regice with priority ice beam... Rest in peace tapu bulu, garchomp and landorus.

I always feel like they should get more competitive use than they do.
I guess they're just the sort of Pokémon that have good stats and good movepools but aren't "great" at any one role, so there are always better choices.

Regis dont get more competitive use because they lack any sort of reliable recovery. Heavily defensive pokemon need that nowadays to be able to compete with the fast past metagame. Regis were incredibly strong during gen 3 though. They were just not changed enough to fit the new mechanic changes...

If the Regi's are in USUM, Aether Foundation is probably the best place to put Registeel, especiallly since we already have a Desert and Ice Moutain

They probably have a secret basement where they keep him and maybe Mewtwo too
