The Battle Royal returns and The Battle Tree returns. That are two facilities already. Also Red and Blue are Tree bosses, its unlikely they'd be participants in another faciliity in the same region

Not to mention Vermilion gym replica means they dont intend to bring back many old characters, rather MAYBE selected few

one thing I've wanted forever is the ability to release your party pokemon from anywhere. it feels so impersonal to just release them while they are boxed and pokemon are always released in person in the show as well. I'd like a little animation of the pokemon you are releasing scurrying off after you guys say your goodbyes if you release them while you are away from the pc. one game I can think of that handles goodbyes in a good way is the chao garden in the sonic adventure games. them leaving like that was meant to be emotional and that is missing in pokemon games even though the devs say they care about bonding with your pokemon

I think we're definitely getting something since the map is covering a new island, they've done it in the maps for every game to hide the post game facilities like the Battle Frontier

And it's gonna atleast be more than the Battle Resort in ORAS and Battle Maison in XY since the Battle Tree already fulfills that role

literally all I need for the games to be 10/10 are new Alolan forms of pokemon I like, pokemon I like getting good tutor moves/signature z moves/updated movepools, and a good endgame breeding area like the "hold up to hatch"daycare in ORAS
everything else is lagniappe

Here's why I think it has a good chance to come back this time

>Hawaii was chosen as the Gen 7 region partially because World Championships take place there often
>NPC's in ORAS mention they cant wait to compete in the next one
>Fits the story of Kukui wanting to build the league to make Alolas trainers known all over the world
>First "third/enhanced" version since BW2
>Future proofs the trainers models just like the mons themselves are

Say that USUM has the player character starting their adventure a year later in the alternate timeline which looks like it's happening. Red & Blue were in Alola for vacation. They would have left well before the events of USUM.

Besides, no new battle facility(s) means sales of USUM go down from the usual 7-8m copies 3rd versions sell. They will lose money without new battle facility(s).
