Why was Noivern only catchable in the Victory Road? Wasn't

This pisses me off, because Noivern is my favorite Pokemon. They could have easily put Noibat in the cave beyond Camphrier, right after the first Badge. But no, we only get access to it right before the Ice Gym. It didn't show up in Alola, but at least we got Zubat again, because memes.

To add insult to injury, we only got two Noivern of note in the anime: Alexa's, which appeared all of twice and did jack shit; and Ash's jobber.

What are you guys talking about? Is this some kind of collective inside joke or bait thread? You can catch Noibat in Reflection Cave, it drops from the ceiling.

Also Noibat doesn't evolve until level 48. So even if it does appear early in a later game, it's still trash for most of the game. Thanks Gamefreak.

You're thinking of Terminus Cave, I think. Noibat's available before the League, but not until after you get the 7th Badge, and I think after the Flare plot burns out.

Yeah, that sucks. But honestly, I used Noibat as a starter in several games. Even without egg or tutor moves, it has a crazy-wide movepool. It can easily pull its weight.

It landed a hit and Zapdos was falling. And then Team Rocket interrupted the fight before anything conclusive could happen. And since that fight, Noivern won like one match.
