Do you like the RNG mechanics for ultra rare Safari Zone pokemon?

this is why pokemon RBY vc didnt have the "save state" feature
I always liked the safari zone in frlg. Even though it was difficult to catch the pokemon, when you caught them (tauros, pinsir, scyther, chansey) they were super strong and it was really rewarding. I didnt like how they removed it from oras.

Yes, I miss the safari zone.
Yes I had no problems with them. It's important not to berate RNG mechanics too often because a lot of real life 'mechanics' are purely down to luck anyway. (Or at least, as far as human controllable situations are concerned).

No, it was annoying and added no challenge whatsoever

>underage makes an uniformed statement
Most infuriating part of the game imo. Makes it borderline impossible to plan storyteams with mons like tauros. Whats even worse japanese gen 1 games got tauros as ingame trade...
Only thing I miss is the Safari Ball. I never liked the Safari Zone itself.
I've literally never had problems with Tauros. It's Kangaskhan that's always been a bitch and had me waste multiple hours of life trying to catch one, sometimes across multiple days.
reminder that Tarous has a base speed of 110
A pokemon's chance to run at the end of each turn is based on said speed.
Using a rock will make a pokemon easier to catch, but also make it more likely to run.
A Tauros's chance of running after a single rock throw will make it nearly 100% chance to run.
It's also why chansey, in practice, is also easier to catch. Because it only has 50 base speed

Great, now there's a pissed off tauros rampaging around the safari zone.

I like the concept but it sucked in gen 1. Sweet Scent made it a bit more bearable imo
