any time I get a legendary through trading I worry about something like this happening. for example, someone just gave me a level 100 ho-oh for my level 1 comfey today

If they go through GTS or Wondertrade, they are legal and you cannot be banned. Did you change its name with third party programs or so? I have like 10 boxes of hacked mons recieved through giveaways, not banned at all, including shiny diancie
