The Pokemon Company's CEO REALLY fucking loved Trozei, so much he doesn't let GS make anything but puzzle games anymore.

To be honest, I think it's for the best Genius Sonority doesn't do more Pokemon side RPGs. Colosseum and Gale of Darkness were neat conceptually, but were hella linear. There were few sidequests, basically nothing to backtrack to since there weren't HM move like barriers to check later, no minigames, and no wild Pokemon to really hunt to sidetrack you (GoD's wild mechanic is so limited I really don't count it).

There was a real lack of polish too. A lot of the visuals just felt a bit off compared to other things that were out at the time, gameplay aside. It was even a step back from Stadium in terms of animations in that Pokemon no longer had the little idle motions when they sat too long without moving and seemed a lot more static because of it which sadly carried over to later 3d Pokemon games.

I enjoyed the games, but I don't miss them that much.
