It looks like Necrozma's goal could be to regain his true form (his "Magnum Opus" form) and for that, he passed on his armor to a new host (Solgaleo/Lunala)

There are pillars with that symbol in poni canyon, the altars, the dessert and some other places in SM, and I kinda remember something that it's mentioned in the games about the tapus fighting a huge beast/legendary in the past, maybe it was Necrozma in it's true ultra beast form.

Some anon a couple days ago mentioned one of the clues from the Riddler leaker before SM, with the dex showing a seal over what appeares to be Necrozma's dex location. And that seal could be the hint that Necrozma's true form was "sealed" in the prism

It would be cool to fight the UB's on their own Ultra Spaces individually, but I really hope in the story itself, we see all of them come to our dimension for a huge scale invasion

One of Sun and Moons most interesting plotlines was that Nihilego was infecting the Aether Foundation and brainwashing all the grunts, maybe this time, we can see that spread even farther, maybe all over the region and they can go nuts with the design of the infected people and pokemon, maybe it even infects some of our friends/allies who we are then forced to battle

Have all the Ultra Beasts come out at once all over the region, show the effects of what they're doing and make it feel like a really high stakes situation, and show as many characters as possible trying to deal with them (Kukui, Looker, Anabel, Trial Captians, etc.)
Zygarde awakens and combines to his full form to hold the line to repel the UB's, and all the other old legendaries arrive too as they sense the danger

Necrozma is either the savior or their leader of the crisis, and during the final hour he shreds his prison prism armor and unleashes his true light form to either repel the UB's or finish us off once and for all, transferring his armor to Nebby who either accompanies us, or is forced to battle us against it's will

After the crisis ends, we can go catch the Ultra Beasts by traveling to their respective Ultra Spaces

tl;dr; I wanna be able to play Komm Susser Tod in the background and think "Hey, this really fits!"

Lots of cutscenes so your gameplay is being cut frequently, and its kinda short. But the difficulty is back to Gen 5 levels if not pre gen 5, that Raichu took me 10 fucking tries holy shit was I unprepared, and the backstory lore was top tier(Tapus and the emissary duo are a buch better dynamic then the lake trio and the creation Trio), coupled with some of the best characters and stories. I think Xerneas and Yveltal are definitely in the games, either through events or other methods(dream radar) most of legendaries are obtainable. Only Gen 5 really had some you had to bring over from previous games, and that's mostly cause BW relied heavily on a lot of tie ins with HGSS. Necrozma isn't an Ultra Beast the same way the Cosmog line isn't. They technically are originally UBs, from Ultra Space, but have been in our world for a long time which made them in a way lose UB status. These things were implied thoughout the game.
