-Lore would stop being interesting and way more autistic because now they'll try to appease the kind of people that can't wrap their head around the facts some pokemon are powerful(or they'd have people like that on board) or that each gen works on their own, eventually driving the franchise into continuity lockout.
-More Gen 1 pandering and a full MMO would also be a safe bet.

I don't really follow it either, all I know is that YW is kind of losing in popularity and people got quickly tired of it because they released to many games to quick
So they decided to release a new movie which is a sort of reboot/timeskip thing where Yokai became """darker""" to appeal to child AND pre-teen/teen who usually stop playing those kind of game because "it's for kids"

Everything would be like that whole 4 Kids fiasco at the start of the anime franchise + Teen Titans Go/Powerpuff Girls reboot. They'd probably try really hard to be anime like the Avatar series though. Every Pokemon would have over the top mega-esque evolutions with extra edge and spikes. Shit, my last sentence just reminded of Digimon and how American-esque some Digivolutions are with guns, metal, and cannons everywhere for no reason.

The reason for so many edgy or lewd designs is because digimon are basically the amalgamation of people's ideas on the internet.

So if there were a digimon series based on our world then there would be Ponymons and Coldsteelmons running rampant.

I express myself badly, the remake look gorgeous as fuck. I was talking about the recent Crash Bandicoot game that were made before this remake.
I mean, look at pic related, it doesn't look that bad, but it's really far from the original "stupid and clueless" character and closer to a Sonic oc that just seems smug
