But in terms of character, probably May and then Serena. May arguably had the most well developed personality change over the course of her arc that actually made sense and fit her character.

There has been so many moments in SM that im just dumbfounded how much ash just doesn't react to his pokemon getting hurt, even in gym battles he always catches his pokemon if they fall from great heights, hurt and when he was out and about he occasionally atleast got into the thick of it to shield them, but not anymore it seems its so out of character.

Honestly, I would like to see Aether Foundation developing security drone that Lusamine uses to stop Ash and co from ruining her plan.

But Ash and other's pokemon easily manage to destroy them even though they were made of hardest metal.

Unlikely, SM has been building towards something since the very beginning. Lillie's fear, Lusamine being in another mansion, Gladion being away from home and challenging strong trainers/having Type:Null and not being with Skull. It's all leading somewhere, hopefully to Aether Paradise around episode 50/52.

Ash is also the wildcard of this series, the Kahunas and the Tapu's have been acknowledging Ashs abilities and skills. Lillie has also started falling into a role of admiration towards Ash. Not love, but admiration. There are a bunch of scenes of hers that involve Ash which are likely going to help lead to her Z-Powered form. Aether Paradise, whenever we get there, is going to be the first real indication of what the villian plot of the series is going to be. If Nebby is introduced, if Nihiligo appears through the wormhole, if Lillie starts getting PTSD of why shes afraid of Pokemon.

so much can happen at Aether Paradise and during Lusamine's first appearance that its probably the most exciting thing to look forward to right now. Hopefully SM follows XY example with the series having "chapters", everything to the brobowl being chapter1, brobowl to the end of XY being chapter 2, then XYZ being chapter 3. If SM follows that path then Aether Paradise or an early graduation would be the end of the first chapter for the series

As the guy who's currently watching, at 15 episodes in it's pretty good. It's kind of like a Ghibli film. There isn't typically a ton of excitement so if you're looking for that you might be disappointed, but if you go into it with the mindset that it's going to be a show about likable characters doing cute things and helping each other out, I think you'll enjoy it.
