not only the gba roms are being deleted, nintendo is trying to delete all their roms from the internet.
I think this is related to their new retroconsoles, they want avoid people emulating their games instead of buying them.

Old DS with GBA slot, a cheap ass original R4 using the easily found homebrew dumping program, and original carts to dump the roms from.

Buy a GBA and a copy of fire red. It won't run you that much. Mod your GBA with a backlit screen. It's great. It's way better to play on the real hardware with a backlit screen than an emulator IMO.
