What's your philosophy / strategy when putting together a team to clear the main game in pokemon?
Maintaining type diversity while also using what I like
>>33262116
Catch as much as I can, use my favourites for important battles.
>>33262116
FWG/FWE/FIE core with type diversity after that, priority to mons I haven't used before, also they shouldn't be all physical or all special, since my autism flares when I end up having something like a Heracross defeat a Kadabra.

>fire ice electric core
??
>>33262116
Use a Fire-Water-Grass/Fire-Water-Electric core and throw in some other mons to fill the cricks (like Ground-types, Psychic-types, etc). Try to make it a mix of bulky attackers and fast attackers. I tend to use a mix of earlier and new mons in each game.

This. But alsomons I want to be fucked by.
>>33262179
Yeah, I consider it a thing since there's symmetry in distribution of Fire, Ice, and Electric stuff.
I usually pick the fire starter cause good fire pokemon are harder to come by. With the exception of BW since Darmanitan existed.

This escalated quickly.
Overlevelling my starter and catching the box legend so I can use them to steamroll it and get to the postgame asap.

>Overlevelling my starter
The unshakable bond of friendship.
>>33262116
I dont, I use whatever mons that I like and can actually obtain pre post game. Usually I leave a slot open for the cover legend since I usually use them right away at the league.
>>33262133
this
>>33262192
doesn't that already apply to the prior statement
Do you guys try to have good natures on your team during the story or do you just say fuck it?
>>33262487
Seriously, just..... Why?
>>33262487
weird, I just use a Chimecho because I want him to mind rape me into his little slave and call it a day
